Day 5

Today was a great clothing day. I wore my denim leggings with my black drapey Intimo top that I absolutely LOVE. I felt great all day. Ok now I am starting to get an idea of how I want to feel in my clothes. This is a great little motivator. I am going to use this blog as a bit of a journal to track which clothes make me feel great, so that I can reflect on it and be able curate my wardrobe with this valuable info.

I did however run into a bit of a roadblock. I did some online clothes shopping before I discovered the book and decided to embark on the challenge. The parcel arrived today. I opened it up, tried on the two tops and was stoked. Both fit perfectly and were just the feminine pieces that I needed to add to my capsule. I was diligent in retiring two other pieces though so I still kept within my 33 items. I retired a grey scarf (which in reality I never really reach for) and a black evening dress that it’s WAY too cold to wear. I know this is kind of cheating but in all reality, the deed was done prior to the challenge so I wasn’t going to punish myself for it. I chose to celebrate my new beautiful items and it gave me a little spark of motivation to think I could keep going further now that I had them in my arsenal.

I received a compliment on my blue earrings today (it was from my mum so not sure if that really counts?). I’m going to keep track of compliments too as Courtney mentioned she was getting heaps whilst doing the challenge – so I’m rather curious. I’m going camping soon….I think I’m going to just use my “house clothes” so I don’t risk damaging my 33 good items. Not sure if that’s cheating but it’s a one off thing that I didn’t want to have to keep warm, older clothes out for.
